Welcome to Minnesota Dachshund!

Minnesota Dachshund is all about…well, dachshunds from Minnesota, but will also include our friends from around the world. We are definitely not prejudice against any dachshunds not from Minnesota!

I say we because I have been owned by an adorable black and tan miniature longhaired little girl named Roo for the past 11 years and she will be a big part of this site. To say she is the love of my life doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about her. There has not been a single day in those 11 years that she has not made me smile and feel needed and loved.

There will be all sorts of information regarding the dachshund as well as a variety of comical stories revolving around their endearing and amusing antics.

I will be giving you my opinion at times and that is all it is…my opinion on dog foods, toys and everything else it takes to keep your dachshund happy. After all, the dachshund and their owner’s happiness is what Minnesota Dachshund is all about.

So, whether you are considering welcoming this breed into your home for the first time or are a long time devoted dachshund owner my hope is that together we can fill their world with the joy, understanding and love that they deserve (well, maybe demand is a better way to put that).
